On this Set Apart journey with the Lord, one thing you’ll come to notice, is how you will begin to see a drastic change within you and with many of the things that are around you by the Lord’s leading.
But that’s only if you’re #1 drawing closer and closer to the Lord a #2 are being obedient to do whatever it is, He instructs you to do. And when this happens many of times, due to us not really having a full understanding of what’s taking place, we begin to question the Lord, by asking Him, “What in the world is going on?” Yes, due to the fact, of how again, everything within and around us, is beginning to change.
Recently, the Lord began to minister to me in a vast way, about these changes I’m referring to and the actual vital need for them. The Lord likened it to the military from the perspective of how, there are many people who’ve made the confession with their mouths of how they believe in Jesus (i.e. having enlisted) however, with their actions, they’re still doing their own thing while, heavily resisting the changes that must take place in order to be a true son or daughter (i.e. solider) of the Lord God Almighty.
To further explain, though many have said yes, with their mouth still, there’s great resistance. For too many to count, are not yielding to the new everything 2 Corinthians 5:17 talks about. For it reads: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.
This new does come along with, being in the Kingdom of God. Yet, many do not want to be taken out of their world, their familiar zone, their comfort to their flesh being (the civilian world) as the military calls it, to be trained, equipped and learn more about their commitment. It’s true, many are not willing submit and be taken away from… in order, to go into the secret place of God, and be trained and equipped by His word, with His generals within in His body. Many cannot fathom the thought of having to disconnect from family, friends, their local environment, hang out spots, jobs, career paths, their, their, their etc. For just the thought alone, of how they will not be able to be in control of their own lives on this journey is something many, simply cannot agree with.
See, truth is, when your on military base many of the once conveniences of the civilian life (i.e. the world) are either no longer, or are at the least, a true minimum. For the reason being, when you’re on base no, you cannot do just whatever you want to do. Soldiers have to be focused and committed. Why? Because their very lives depend upon their focus and if, they choose to goof off, though there may not be any immediate evident signs of their consequences of not being serious, trust me, when the winds blow you then, will be able to see, just what type of true foundation they had. Yes, once they’re out on the battlefield it will show!
And what the Lord revealed to me was that; many within the Body of Christ have not yet even been through basic training. It’s as though, again yes, they made the commitment to God (i.e. the military) with their mouth, but yet, have not committed with their actions when James 2:20 clearly tells us that faith without works is dead.
Yet, as a Prophet of God, I must warn you by saying: When you accept Jesus as your savior that’s like you having simply signed your name on the dotted line to say, how you want to accept His free gift and commit your life, but that’s done with merely your mouth. However, it’s not until you add the works with that faith (being your trust and heart) that your commitment is truly authentic. Yes, it’s not until you make Him Lord over your life opposed to just savior, for they both go hand and hand. Thus, the reason, we see a massive amount of people in our congregations on the wide path which is, leading them straight to destruction. Indeed, this is the cause.
Many within the Body of Christ, even now, are kicking and screaming like a little child saying, “I’ don’t want to do this and I don’t want to do that” ones who are constantly resisting the discipline, instruction, sacrificing, pain to NOT giving into our fleshly desires etc.
Yet, as a Prophet of God who’s been given the specific assignment of preparing a people for the Lord’s return I have to say this, in God’s Kingdom there IS great discipline, sacrificing, the giving up of many of things. There is a change in location, change in materials that we use to fill our ears and eye gate with, there is a commander, there are sergeants, and in truth, when you say yes, to Jesus your life IS supposed to no longer be your own, but instead, it is to be turned over to THE ONE who paid the high price for your life.
2 Corinthians 5:15 tells us: and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
In the military, they encourage people to enlist, so they can be all that they can be. However, the Lord, through me, is imploring you to submit in a greater way, to THE ONE and only, who holds all of heaven and earth in the palm of His hand, that you can be ALL God has originally created you to be. Which, by the way, is so MUCH more, than what man could ever offer.
In closing, I’d like to share a few scriptures for you to reflect on being:
Matthew 10:38 which reads: And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
2 Timothy 2:4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
